President's Message
Greetings,
I feel extremely honored to be elected President of the Indian Association of Nashville, Tennessee. It is with great zeal and enthusiasm that I begin my year. I am confident that with a mix of experienced and new committee members working for all our members, I will be able to continue our traditions initiated by the founding members and also will be able to bring fresh ideas to the table for the benefit of the community. We will together continue to make every effort to promote our rich and buoyant culture among our youth and the Nashville community at large through various endeavors throughout my term.
It is with great pride and happiness I wish to inform that IAN will complete 50 years of service to the community in the year 2012. A committee of veterans has been formed to plan for this upcoming milestone year who will welcome ideas, suggestions, help and support from the community.
I will with my team actively work to further the vision of my predecessors to involve and increase participation from the Regional Associations in all IAN activities. My goal also is to get more of our youth engaged in homeless lunches and other community service activities and to increase overall membership.
This year we have an exciting array of programs lined up. We will begin the year with our Independence Day Celebrations (culture and talent variety show) which will be followed by Diwali celebrations (a gala evening of music, dance and food), Celebration of Cultures (Centennial Park), Homeless Lunches and other Picnics. We invite you to participate and join us for community service and the festivities!
Effective communication is vital to the viability and expansion of our organization. Hence, I urge you to become a member and keep us informed of your current email address and visit our website www.iantn.org regularly for the most current news and programs.
Please help and support me and my team to make this year a memorable one. Email any suggestions and questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or one of the committee members.

Deepak Sharma
